EXHIBITOR INFORMATION: Featuring over 200 galleries and artists from over 12 countries as well as a full roster of performance art, and world entertainment, The Toronto Art Expo (in its tenth year), has quickly become the most anticipated event of the year for fine art professionals. Located directly downtown at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, April 19-22, 2012, Canada’s largest & premier fine art and cultural event has consistently attracted over 20,000 art consumers. Toronto Art Expo will be heavily promoting to qualified art buyers throughout Canada, the United States and abroad in order to effectively create the perfect marketplace for our exhibitors. BENEFITS OF BEING AN EXHIBITOR: Going into its tenth season and established as Canada’s premier arts and cultural event, it has been officially patronized by our past Governor General of Canada. A proven track record of putting its exhibitors’ interests first, reinvesting all resources in order to ensure their success. The largest and most consistent promotional campaign of any fine art exhibition in Canada, with the largest print and art journal media, radio and television positions, as well as other platforms such as direct mail, transit shelters, expressway billboards and e-marketing, contributing to the many tens of millions of ad impressions each year. Visitors come and are prepared long in advance to budget for an art investment. Over 20,000 visitors and hundreds of art business professionals, interior designers, and architects. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre, located in the downtown theatre district is among the largest such facilities in the world, for conventions, trade and consumer shows. With hundreds of feet in both directions (the 2011 Expo took a 140,000 square foot Hall space) there is a flexiblity of design, many booths have been designed as islands or corners, free of encumbering posts and with high vaulting ceilings and a glorious north lit exposure of cascading glass, it is amongst the world’s most eloquent and gracious venues supporting a fine arts exposition. The MTCC is noted for their ease to work with in the freedom for exhibitors to set up displays, lighting etc., and with drive-on floor capabilities. Unique to most art shows, the Expo has incorporated, a value-added cultural music and dance experience to attract the calibre of clientele with the sophistication to appreciate fine art and purchase it as well. The Expo has hosted performers from Japan, Korea, Quebec, Indonesia, the legendary Jon Hendriks with Jane Bunnett and the Divas of Jazz and Havana Social Club as well as the Whirling Dervishes of Turkey. Keeping with the standards of quality all works exhibited are originals only. Each year along with our illustrious roster of independent fine artists we look for a select number of galleries representing their best avant-garde artists as well as their more established artists to participate in the Expo which is held in Toronto's prime exhibition venue presenting a critical mass of all of our exhibitors to support the most effective promotional campaign with phenomenal success, at the Expo.
