TORONTO ART EXPO 2009 (the Expo's seventh and largest annual exhibition) was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 19th to 22nd 2009
Toronto’s premier fine art and cultural event that opens the spring season, celebrating the value of fine art in our lives. With over 350 distinguished, established Canadian and International artists and galleries represented from 14 countries, it has become a destination for selective art connoisseurs and many other art business professionals--and they have come from all over North America and Europe for this weekend of Art. With thousands of works to choose from, the Toronto Art Expo is the Art Fair for all budgets, from the first time buyer to the seasoned investment collector, both personal and corporate, featuring rare pieces from International art styles and traditions representing leading world trends in contemporary art.

EXCITING EVENTS continued throughout the weekend of March 19-22, 2009:
The Divas of Jazz presented by the Art of Jazz will be featured on Saturday and Sunday.
Special seminars were held by: David McClyment, writer, educator, visual artist and acting coordinator of Visual Arts at Centennial College, choosing themes and artists for a 4-lecture series "Why this is good art.”
Alan Bryce of Passagesart, author of Art Smart presented lectures focusing on buying art as an ‘Investment in Art that you love.’
TORONTO ART EXPO Opening Gala March 19th, 2009
The BIG ONE. Canada’s largest art party at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Over 15,000 art lovers joined us for last year's spectacular and luminous event welcoming light, colour and sound to Toronto’s spring. It was a night to sip wine, peruse the aisles for that perfect piece of art, and listen and dance to exciting world rhythms.
